This week I started
on my actual concentration series on the abstractions of animals. Only so many
photos worked perfectly this week. I had some trouble with my camera while taking
pictures of cats, which I hated. I was working with value, contrast, and texture
this week when I noticed that some of the lighting should be dimmer. Overall this
week was a little stressful but I got some things done.
Your second image with the close up of the fur is the clearest image and the most abstract. You might want to try the child/pet setting on your camera to help you with your "moving target" subject matter. You might want to try macro when the animals are sleeping too to get some more clarity in your shots. I appreciate the humor in the close ups of the dog's mouth. They images just aren't quite clear enough to use as final photos. The cat shot is interesting. I would crop out the background to bring the focus more onto the textures on the cat.
ReplyDeleteI love your kitty photo! It has a sense of humor because of the way the kitty is positioned but also has a feel of soft and cuddly. The dog photos seem so fierce, it's intimidating. The strong lighting and high contrast really add to that. I really enjoy the the fur from your dog; it shows the variety of color in the fur and the lighting helps accentuate every single strand of hair.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the images of your cat and the close up on your dogs eyes. Your images are sepctacular, and really show a unity through the group of photos. The images you have capture are really high contrast and you have a strong sorce of lighting in your photos. The lighting helps with seeing each individual strand of hair from the animal. Keep up the good work. You will diffinantly go far!
ReplyDeleteI love the humor the cat provides. The picture of the dog's forehead is done very nicely. The fur is very river-like and has a flow to it. This set of pictures is also unique due its extreme angles and overall fun feel to it.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are very welly taken. I think youre overall concept fits you really well and the point of view in your photos really works with your theme of abstraction. Great work!
